v  A non-refundable deposit of £20 per room is required to secure a booking, this can be paid by debit/credit card or cheque made payable to Ad Astra.  We make a £1 booking charge for all deposits paid by credit cards.  You may, on arrival, pay the balance with a credit or debit card with no further charge

v  Deposits for bookings made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date must be paid debit or credit card

v  Bookings cancelled after 2pm less than 2 days prior to the arrival date, this includes cancellation with no notice, i.e. not turning up, will be subject to the cost of the first night’s stay

v  Bookings made within the cancellation period, i.e. less than 48 hours prior to the arrival date, must be paid in full at the time of booking

v  Payment of balance is due on arrival and can be made by cash debit or credit card

v  Normal check-in time on the day of arrival is between 2pm and 8pm. Please inform us of your estimated arrival time and update us should this change

v  Check out time is by 10.30am on the day of departure. Earlier or later check-in and/or check-out times may be possible by prior arrangement. Please phone to discuss your requirements. Failure to check out by 10.30am on the day of departure, without prior agreement, will result in the cost of a further night’s stay being payable

v  Refunds will not normally be given for early departures

v  Full English, Vegetarian, Vegan, Slimming World and Gluten Free Breakfasts are offered as standard. Other diets can be catered for with prior notification. Please discuss at booking. All items on the menu are subject to availability. We do not use nuts in any of our breakfast dishes but cannot guarantee that any food is nut free as we use nuts in our kitchen

v  In compliance with Chapter 28 of the Health Act 2006 it is against the law to smoke in any room in Ad Astra Guesthouse. Any guest or visitor wishing to smoke MUST go outside away from the entrance to do so. A cigarette bin is provided. Anyone found to be smoking in the rooms will be asked to leave with no refund

v  A £100 charge to cover deep cleaning costs and loss of income will be payable

v  If you book into Ad Astra Guesthouse, you are agreeing to pay the balance as quoted at the time of booking

v  Ad Astra cannot accept responsibility or liability for accidents, loss or damage to persons or property whilst staying at or visiting this establishment

v  We reserve the right to refuse and to amend and alter these terms and conditions

v  Making a booking implies you have read and accept these terms and conditions.

We have 4 dog friendly rooms.  If these rooms are available we welcome small, well behaved dogs and owners at a charge of £5 per week or part of.  Assistance dogs stay free of charge.  We assume that as you are travelling with your dog you are confident that it will be well behaved and not cause any damage or be a nuisance to other guests

Please bring your dog’s bed/blanket.

v  Dogs are NOT permitted on our beds or furniture.  Please respect subsequent guests and do not allow your dog on beds or furniture.  That said, we assume dogs will get on the bed during your absence for breakfast, we know ours would, so we provide throws for the beds, please do not be offended and please use the throws to protect the bed covers

v  Dogs must be kept under control at all times and kept on a lead when outside your room

v  Dogs must NOT be left in the room unattended except from during breakfast

v  Dogs are not permitted in the dining room at any time, with the exception of Assistance Dogs

v  Dogs must be “exercised” away from the house and forecourt; the beach is only 100 yards away. Please clean up after your dog and keep the beach and grassy areas lovely for everyone. Bags are available on request

v  We require an emergency mobile number for guests staying with dogs

v  We reserve the right to ask you to leave if you fail to control your dog or it causes a nuisance to other guests. 

v  No refund will be given

I am sorry if these all sound really officious, but we are really nice people who just want everyone to have a lovely stay so we have drawn up these terms and conditions so that everyone knows what is what and can relax and enjoy their stay. If there is anything you are not happy with or would like to discuss, please give us a ring.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.
